Stearyldiethanolamine can be used as a collector towards the surfaces of quartz and malachite, to recover efficiently malachite from quartz. Stearyldiethanolamine can disrupt bacterial cell membrane with the alkyl chain, leading to irreversible damage and cell death[1][2][3].
