Biological Activity: Antho-riamide I is a neuropeptide and an inhibitor of spontaneous contraction of endodermal muscle groups. Antho-riamide I can be isolated from the sea anemone Anthopleura elegantissima. Antho-riamide I resists degradation by non-specific aminopeptidases via the L-3-phenyllactic acid blocking group at its amino terminus[1].
