- Formula:C22H19N3O2
- Molecular Weight:357.41
IUPAC Name: 2-cyclobutyl-10-methyl-3-phenylpyrimido[4,5-b]quinoline-4,5(3H,10H)-dione
InChIKey: XUOTZAUZHWCGHL-UHFFFAOYSA-N
SMILES: O=C1C2=C(N(C)C(N=C(C3CCC3)N4C5=CC=CC=C5)=C1C4=O)C=CC=C2
Biological Activity: SRI-41315 induces a prolonged pause at stop codons and suppresses PTCs (premature termination codons) associated with cystic fibrosis in immortalized and primary human bronchial epithelial cells, restoring CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) expression and function. SRI-41315 suppresses PTCs by reducing the abundance of the termination factor eRF1. SRI-41315 also potentiates aminoglycoside-mediated readthrough, leading to synergistic increases in CFTR activity[1].
