Biological Activity: Prindamine is a noradrenaline transporter inhibitor with very weak anticholinergic and serotonin (5-HT) uptake inhibiting effects. Prindamine blocks noradrenaline uptake, increasing synaptic availability of noradrenaline in the brain. Prindamine decreases rapid eye movement sleep (REMS) in cats. Prindamine initially increases the proportion of time spent in active wakefulness in cats[1].
