Prindamine
Prindamine is a noradrenaline transporter inhibitor with very weak anticholinergic and serotonin (5-HT) uptake inhibiting effects. Prindamine blocks noradrenaline uptake, increasing synaptic availability of noradrenaline in the brain. Prindamine decreases rapid eye movement sleep (REMS) in cats. Prindamine initially increases the proportion of time spent in active wakefulness in cats.

Biological Activity
Propranolol (HY-B0573B) reverses the increase in active wakefulness, Prazosin (HY-B0193) exacerbates the reduction in REMS and decreases deep slow-wave sleep, and Yohimbine (HY-N0127) enhances active wakefulness without altering the reduction in REMS[1].
