Biological Activity:
MPO-IN-8 is an orally active myeloperoxidase (MPO) inhibitor. MPO-IN-8 can inhibit the generation of hypochlorous acid in neutrophils and the release of extracellular traps (NETosis). In mice with gouty arthritis, MPO-IN-8 can reduce swelling, lower peroxidase activity, and decrease IL-1β levels[1].
