Biological Activity: Tetrandrine 2'-N-β-oxide is an anti-hyperglycemic dibenzylisoquinoline alkaloid. At a dose of 1 mg/kg, Tetrandrine 2'-N-β-oxide can reduce hyperglycemia levels in streptozotocin (HY-13753)-induced diabetic mice to nearly 50% of their original levels. Tetrandrine 2'-N-β-oxide is primarily used in research related to the anti-hyperglycemic of type 2 diabetes.
