Biological Activity: Dealanylalahopcin is an antimicrobial agent that can be isolated from the culture filtrate of Streptomyces leucoderma subsp. ochraceus. Dealanylalahopcin can also be synthesized by enzymatic hydrolysis of alahopcin by microbial α-amino acid ester hydrolases. Dealanylalahopcin has weak antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and exhibits moderate inhibition of collagen prolyl hydroxylase[1].
