ADAM32

ADAM32 is a reproductive-tract ADAM detected mainly in the testis, where expression analyses suggest a role in germ cell development or sperm function. Its overall architecture follows the canonical ADAM layout, and its disintegrin domain implies adhesive interactions analogous to those of the fertilin components, though direct binding partners are undefined. Functional data remain sparse, and no physiological substrate has been confirmed. Developmental expression profiling in the male gonad supports its inclusion in sperm maturation pathways, and recombinant ADAM32 is offered chiefly as a research reagent for andrology, spermatogenesis and fertility studies.
