Cy3-labeled Bevasiranib sodium is a FAM-fluorescently labeled form of Bevasiranib sodium. Bevasiranib sodium is an siRNA that targets and silences VEGF-A; it activates the RNA-induced silencing complex to degrade VEGF-A mRNA, thereby mediating TLR3-associated inhibition of choroidal neovascularization. Following intravitreal injection, Bevasiranib sodium distributes across various ocular tissues and resists degradation by intraocular endonucleases, effectively reducing the area of choroidal neovascularization and alleviating vascular leakage.
