Dihydromaniwamycin E shows an inhibitory effect against influenza (H1N1) virus infection in MDCK cells by a plaque assay, exhibiting an IC50 of 25.7 μM[1].
Dihydromaniwamycin E displays antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of COVID-19 infection, in 293TA cells, exhibiting an IC50 of 19.7 μM[1].
