DSG-PEG2000-DHLASLWWGTEL
DSG-PEG2000-DHLASLWWGTEL (DSG-PEG2000-Mal-Cys-DHLASLWWGTEL) is a functionalized PEGylated phospholipid conjugate composed of three modular components: distearoylglycerol (DSG) as a lipid anchoring group, a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm with a molecular weight of 2000 Da, and the DHLASLWWGTEL peptide as a terminal targeting/functional ligand. DSG-PEG2000-DHLASLWWGTEL can be used in research on targeted drug delivery for hepatocellular carcinoma.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
DSG-PEG2000-DHLASLWWGTEL is composed of three covalently linked components: 1. DSG (distearoylglycerol) : Lipid anchoring group-a diacylglycerol with two saturated C18 chains; provides strong membrane rigidity and sustained nanoparticle stability, suitable for applications requiring prolonged circulation time. 2. PEG 2000 (polyethylene glycol, molecular weight 2000): Hydrophilic polymer spacer arm-forms a steric hindrance crown around nanoparticles, reducing opsonin activity and reticuloendothelial system (RES) clearance, prolonging circulating half-life, and providing steric separation between the lipid surface and the targeting ligand. 3. DHLASLWWGTEL peptide: Targeting/functional ligand-the DHLASLWWGTEL peptide (also known as TJ12P1) specifically binds to phosphatidylinositol proteoglycan 3 (GPC3), which is highly expressed on the surface of hepatocellular carcinoma, achieving precise targeting of GPC3-positive cells.

Liver Cancer Modeling
Liver cancer can be classified into primary liver cancer and secondary liver cancer. Secondary liver cancer is the metastatic liver cancer. Primary liver cancer includes hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) and fibrolamellar HCC, of which HCC is the most common form, accounting for approximately 90% of primary liver cancers[1]. HCC mouse models include chemical agent-induced models, transplanted tumor models, and genetic engineered models.
