Biological Activity
(E)-2-(4-Cinnamoylphenoxy) acetic acid (Compound 10a) (10 mg/mL; 12 h) inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium smegmatis and Candida albicans in the well diffusion assay, producing inhibition zones of 11.33 mm and 12.00 mm, respectively[1].
(E)-2-(4-Cinnamoylphenoxy) acetic acid (125 μg/mL; 10-12 h) inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium smegmatis, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans, with an MIC of 125 μg/mL for all three strains[1].
