EDTA copper(II) disodium salt, 97%
Based on 1 Customer Validation
EDTA copper (II) disodium salt, 97% is a negatively charged copper (II)-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid chelate and also an adsorption substrate. EDTA copper (II) disodium salt, 97% forms amide bonds with chitosan amino groups in weakly acidic (pH 3-5) solutions, while it forms the CuEDTA (OH)3− hydroxyl complex in strongly alkaline (pH > 12) solutions. EDTA copper (II) disodium salt, 97% can be adsorbed onto granular activated carbon, with electrostatic interactions dominating its pH-dependent adsorption behavior. EDTA copper (II) disodium salt, 97% can be used to eliminate the inhibition of enzyme-catalyzed reactions caused by trace heavy metals.

Biological Activity
EDTA copper(II) disodium salt, 97% (2-10 mM Cu2+; 10-100 mm EDTA; 1+ day) is sorbed by chitosan in quantities up to 0.45 mmol/g (Cu2+) and 0.35 mmol/g (EDTA) at pH 3, and up to 0.3 mmol/g (Cu2+) and 1.1 mmol/g (EDTA) at pH 12.5, with sorption of both components increasing with their respective solution concentrations in strongly alkaline conditions[1].
EDTA copper(II) disodium salt, 97% (314.8 μM; 48 h, tested at pH 3 and pH 6) exhibits increased adsorption by coal-based granular activated carbon at pH 3 (80% removal at 1:1 and 2:1 EDTA-to-copper(II) ratios) and decreased adsorption at pH 6 (30% removal at 1:1 ratio), with reduced removal at excess EDTA ratios (10:1) at both pH values[2].
