FtsZ-IN-15
FtsZ-IN-15 is an inhibitor targeting the FtsZ protein of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) and a cell division inhibitor. FtsZ-IN-15 specifically binds to key residues of XooFtsZ, inhibits its GTPase activity and disrupts its polymerization. FtsZ-IN-15 induces cell elongation of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae and exhibits significant antibacterial activity against this strain. FtsZ-IN-15 shows good control efficacy against rice bacterial blight and can be used in relevant research on rice bacterial blight.

Biological Activity
FtsZ-IN-15 (compound 19b) (2.0 μg/mL; 48 h) potently inhibits the growth of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) with a MIC of 2.0 μg/mL[1].
FtsZ-IN-15 (1.0 μg/mL; 24 h) induces significant cellular elongation of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) cells, with average length increasing from 2.00 μm to 2.54 μm, indicating inhibition of bacterial cell division[1].
FtsZ-IN-15 (0.5-4.0 μM; 30 min) binds to wild-type Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae FtsZ (XooFtsZ) protein and alters its secondary structure in a concentration-dependent manner[1].
FtsZ-IN-15 (100-200 μM; 10 min pre-incubation, 20 min incubation with GTP) dose-dependently inhibits the GTPase activity of wild-type Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae FtsZ (XooFtsZ), achieving 43.1% inhibition at 200 μM, with residues LEU171, ASP190, GLY194, and ARG310 critical for this inhibitory effect[1].
FtsZ-IN-15 (25-100 μM; 0.5 h) significantly inhibits the polymerization of wild-type Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae FtsZ (XooFtsZ), with residues LEU171, ASP190, GLY194, and ARG310 critical for this inhibitory activity[1].
