NARS-3′
NARS-3′ is an orally active reversible xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor with the IC50 of 21.01 μM. NARS-3′ can competitively inhibit XO activity and reduce uric acid production. NARS-3′ can reduce renal damage in hyperuricemia mice. NARS-3′ can be used for the study of hyperuricemia.

Actividad biológica
NARS-3′ (0-100 μM) exhibits dose-dependent inhibition on XO activity[1].
NARS-3′ (0-40 μM) can bind to the active site of XO and compete with xanthine substrates during the catalytic process[1].
NARS-3′ could cause the conformational changes in XO[1].

Animal Model:Potassium oxonate (250 mg/kg) injected the male Kunming mice (4 weeks)[1].
-
Dosage:0.3 % carboxymethyl cellulose sodium solution
-
Administration:Oral gavage (i.g.); once daily for a week
-
Result:Reduced serum UA levels to 56.26 μM and reduced XO activity to 9.21 U/L.
Lowered serum CRE levels to 7.85 μM and reduce pathological damage to the kidneys.
