Polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether (Polyethylene glycol oleyl ether, with an average Mn of 1150) is a non-ionic surfactant. Polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether possesses emulsifying and detergent properties and can be used as a functional additive in drug delivery systems, helping to form stable nanoemulsions.

Actividad biológica
Polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether can be used to construct three self-emulsifying drug delivery systems, protecting the model peptide (Tuftsin) from degradation by intestinal enzymes and promoting its absorption[1].
Polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether can effectively penetrate lipid membranes, but its solubility is limited. Especially, it has poor solubility in biomimetic membranes rich in cholesterol, and the dissolution process is slow and incomplete[2].
