Glycerol fructose solution

Glycerol fructose solution is a hyperosmotic dehydrating agent to lower intracranial pressure and alleviate brain edema. Glycerol and fructose, increase the plasma osmotic pressure, transferring the excess water in the brain tissue to the blood vessels and eliminating it through the kidneys, and sodium chloride can prevent electrolyte imbalance during dehydration.
