Penicillin-Streptomycin (100×), Sterile 

Penicillin interferes with the final stage of synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. Streptomycin inhibits elongation at transpeptidation step during protein synthesis and binds to 30S subunit, causing misreading.

MCE Penicillin-Streptomycin (100×) is a liquid formulation which contains 10,000 units/mL of penicillin and 10 mg/mL of streptomycin in 0.9% NaCl. The common working concentration is 100 units/mL for penicillin and 100 μg/mL for streptomycin.

Stored at -20°C, and is stable for 1 year.

Thaw product at room temperature, and add it in a 1:100 (v/v) ratio to cell culture medium.
