Luteolin 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-β-D-glucoside) is an orally active flavonoid free radical scavenger. Luteolin 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-β-D-glucoside) scavenges free radicals, inhibits the activity elevation of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase in mouse plasma, as well as the elevation of liver lipid hydroperoxide content. Luteolin 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-β-D-glucoside) is applicable for liver injury research.

Description

Luteolin 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-β-D-glucoside) is an orally active flavonoid free radical scavenger. Luteolin 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-β-D-glucoside) scavenges free radicals, inhibits the activity elevation of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase in mouse plasma, as well as the elevation of liver lipid hydroperoxide content. Luteolin 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-β-D-glucoside) is applicable for liver injury research[1].

In Vivo

Luteolin 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-β-D-glucoside) (Compound 3) (22 mg/mouse; p.o.; single administration) significantly inhibits the Carbon Tetrachloride (CCl4) (HY-Y0298)-induced increases in plasma AST and ALT activities as well as hepatic lipid hydroperoxide content in mice[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: ddY (male, 8-week-old, ~38 g, liver injury model via CCl4 injection)[1]
Dosage: 22 mg
Administration: p.o.; single dose
Result: Significantly suppressed CCl4-induced increases in plasma aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity.
Significantly suppressed CCl4-induced increases in plasma alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activity.
Significantly suppressed CCl4-induced increases in liver lipid hydroperoxide content.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
