The PNCK protein is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase and a key component of the calcium-triggered signaling cascade. In vitro, PNCK exhibits the ability to phosphorylate CREB1 and SYN1/synapsin I, emphasizing its involvement in regulating cellular processes associated with these substrates.
