Animal-Free IL-31 Protein, Mouse (His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
IL-31 Protein activates STAT3, potentially STAT1 and STAT5, through the IL31 receptor. It enhances myeloid progenitor cell survival and induces RETNLA and serum amyloid A protein expression in macrophages. IL-31 Protein's diverse functions suggest its importance in biological processes and potential implications in immune regulation and cell survival. Animal-Free IL-31 Protein, Mouse (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived animal-FreeIL-31 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-His labeled tag. This product is for cell culture use only.
- Species: Mouse
- Source: E. coli

Description

Background
IL-31 Protein activates STAT3 and potentially STAT1 and STAT5 through the IL31 heterodimeric receptor, which consists of IL31RA and OSMR. It has been suggested to play a role in skin immunity and enhances the survival of myeloid progenitor cells in vitro. IL-31 Protein also induces the expression of RETNLA and serum amyloid A protein in macrophages. These diverse functions highlight the significance of IL-31 Protein in various biological processes and suggest its potential implications in immune regulation and cell survival.

Product Properties
Lyophilized powder.
Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4, trehalose.
<0.1 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
It is recommended to reconstitute to a concentration of 100-200 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
