IL-34 protein is an important cytokine that promotes proliferation, survival, and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages. It plays a key role in innate immunity and inflammation by promoting the release of pro-inflammatory chemokines. Animal-Free IL-34 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived animal-FreeIL-34 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-His labeled tag. This product is for cell culture use only.

Description

IL-34 protein is an important cytokine that promotes proliferation, survival, and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages. It plays a key role in innate immunity and inflammation by promoting the release of pro-inflammatory chemokines. Animal-Free IL-34 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived animal-FreeIL-34 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-His labeled tag. This product is for cell culture use only.

Background

The IL-34 Protein serves as a crucial cytokine, fostering the proliferation, survival, and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages. Its role extends to promoting the release of pro-inflammatory chemokines, thereby playing a pivotal part in innate immunity and inflammatory processes. Moreover, IL-34 assumes a critical role in the regulation of osteoclast proliferation and differentiation, impacting bone resorption. Through signaling via CSF1R and its downstream effectors, IL-34 stimulates the phosphorylation of MAPK1/ERK2 and MAPK3/ERK1. Existing as a homodimer, IL-34 interacts specifically with CSF1R, further contributing to its intricate regulatory network.

Verified Bioactivity

Measure by its ability to induce human peripheral blood monocytes (PBMCs) proliferation. The ED50 for this effect is <30 pg/mL.
