Animal-Free IL-34 Protein, Human (His)

Cat. No.: HY-P700125AF
COA Handling Instructions

IL-34 protein is an important cytokine that promotes proliferation, survival, and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages. It plays a key role in innate immunity and inflammation by promoting the release of pro-inflammatory chemokines. Animal-Free IL-34 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived animal-FreeIL-34 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-His labeled tag. The total length of Animal-Free IL-34 Protein, Human (His) is 222 a.a., with molecular weight of ~26.17 kDa.

Animal-free recombinant proteins offer high consistency and stability, whithout using or contacting of any animal-derived materials and reagents.

Description

IL-34 protein is an important cytokine that promotes proliferation, survival, and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages. It plays a key role in innate immunity and inflammation by promoting the release of pro-inflammatory chemokines. Animal-Free IL-34 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived animal-FreeIL-34 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-His labeled tag. Background

The IL-34 Protein serves as a crucial cytokine, fostering the proliferation, survival, and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages. Its role extends to promoting the release of pro-inflammatory chemokines, thereby playing a pivotal part in innate immunity and inflammatory processes. Moreover, IL-34 assumes a critical role in the regulation of osteoclast proliferation and differentiation, impacting bone resorption. Through signaling via CSF1R and its downstream effectors, IL-34 stimulates the phosphorylation of MAPK1/ERK2 and MAPK3/ERK1. Existing as a homodimer, IL-34 interacts specifically with CSF1R, further contributing to its intricate regulatory network.

Biological Activity

Measure by its ability to induce human peripheral blood monocytes (PBMCs) proliferation. The ED50 for this effect is <30 pg/mL.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Dilution Calculator

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
