Biological Activity
Description
Bax Protein, Human (Cell-Free, His) is the recombinant human-derived Bax, expressed by E. coli Cell-free, with N-10*His labeled tag.
Background
Bax is a protein that plays a key role in the mitochondrial apoptotic process. Under normal conditions, Bax is largely cytosolic due to constant retrotranslocation from mitochondria to the cytosol mediated by BCL2L1/Bcl-xL, preventing toxic accumulation at the mitochondrial outer membrane (MOM). Under stress conditions, Bax undergoes a conformational change and translocates to the mitochondrial membrane, triggering cytochrome c release and subsequent apoptosis. Additionally, Bax promotes the activation of CASP3, thereby inducing apoptosis. by similar: These functions have been consistently demonstrated across multiple studies.

Please refer to the lot-specific COA for specific buffer information.
Note: For SPR assay, please replace the buffer. Primary amine components (e.g., Tris, imidazole) can affect protein-coupled chips.
<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O.
