CD31/PECAM-1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His)

CD31/PECAM-1 Protein is a cell-cell adhesion protein that is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions^[1][2]. CD31/PECAM-1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CD31/PECAM-1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag. The total length of CD31/PECAM-1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is 574 a.a., with molecular weight of 75-110 kDa.

CD31/PECAM-1 Protein is expressed in large amounts on endothelial cells at intercellular junctions and on T cell subsets, and to a lesser extent on platelets and most other leukocytes such as monocytes and neutrophils^[1][2]. CD31/PECAM-1 Protein binds to itself homotypically, and also to the leukocyte integrin alpha v beta 3 heterotypically^[3]. CD31/PECAM-1 Protein is required for the transendothelial migration of leukocytes through intercellular junctions of vascular endothelial cells^[4].
