Background
DRD2 is a dopamine receptor whose activity is mediated by G proteins that inhibit adenylyl cyclase. Additionally, downstream of OPN5, DRD2 positively regulates postnatal regression of retinal hyaloid vessels by suppressing VEGFR2/KDR activity.
