Biological Activity
FDH Protein, Pseudomonas sp. (His, Strep) is the recombinant FDH, expressed by E. coli , with Strep, His labeled tag.
FDH is an enzyme that catalyzes the NAD(+)-dependent oxidation of formate to carbon dioxide. In methylotrophic microorganisms, formate oxidation represents the final step in the methanol oxidation pathway. In non-methylotrophic organisms, FDH also plays a role in the detoxification of exogenous formate.
