Granzyme D (GZMD) is likely an essential enzyme involved in the lysis of target cells during cell-mediated immune responses.

Measured by its ability to cleave a peptide substrate, Succinyl-Phe-Leu-Phe ThioBenzyl ester (Suc-FLF-SBzl), in the presence of 5,5'-Dithio-bis (2-nitrobenzoic acid) (DTNB). The specific activity is 293.2797 pmol/min/µg, as measured under the described conditions.
