IL-22 Protein, Pig (HEK293, His) is the recombinant pig-derived IL-22 protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His tag.

IL-22 Protein belongs to the IL-10 family and is recognized for its significant divergence from other family members. This protein functions as a vital cytokine involved in numerous immune responses and inflammatory processes. IL-22 plays a crucial role in promoting the activation and recruitment of immune cells, including T-helper 2 (Th2) cells, mast cells, and eosinophils, to sites of inflammation. It is primarily secreted by epithelial and endothelial cells and exerts its effects through the IL-22 receptor. Upon binding, IL-22 stimulates the production of various pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. Notably, IL-22 has been implicated in a wide range of diseases, such as asthma, allergic diseases, and autoimmune disorders, underscoring its significance as a potential therapeutic target for modulating immune responses.

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
