Description

KCNJ2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His, MBP, Flag) is the recombinant human-derived KCNJ2, expressed by HEK293 , with His, MBP, Flag labeled tag. ,

Background

KCNJ2 encodes inward rectifier potassium channels that preferentially allow potassium influx into the cell. Their voltage dependence is regulated by extracellular potassium concentration, with higher concentrations shifting the activation range toward more positive potentials. The inward rectification primarily results from blockage of outward current by intracellular magnesium. These channels can be blocked by extracellular barium or cesium and likely contribute to action potential waveform and excitability in neuronal and muscle tissues. by similar: These properties have been consistently observed across multiple studies.
