Latexin Protein, Mouse (His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Latexin protein, possessing notable properties, highly potently inhibits CPA1, CPA2, and CPA4 enzymes in a hardly reversible, non-competitive manner. Its potential role in inflammation regulation is suggested.Latexin Protein, Mouse (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Latexin protein, expressed by E.coli , with N-His labeled tag.
- Species: Mouse
- Source: E. coli
-
Storage:Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Biological Activity
Latexin protein, possessing notable properties, highly potently inhibits CPA1, CPA2, and CPA4 enzymes in a hardly reversible, non-competitive manner. Its potential role in inflammation regulation is suggested.Latexin Protein, Mouse (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Latexin protein, expressed by E.coli , with N-His labeled tag.
Latexin, a protein with notable properties, acts as a highly potent inhibitor of CPA1, CPA2, and CPA4 enzymes in a hardly reversible, non-competitive manner. Additionally, it is suggested to potentially play a role in the regulation of inflammation.
Measured by its ability to inhibit carboxypeptidase A1 cleavage of the colorimetric peptide substrate Ac-Phe-Thiaphe-OH in the presence of 5,5’Dithio-bis (2-nitrobenzoic acid) (DTNB). The IC50 value is 0.555 nM, as measured under the described conditions. (Activation description: The proenzyme needs to be activated by Trypsin for an activated form.)

Product Properties
Lyophilized powder
Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 50 mM HEPES, 300 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.
<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
