Description

MAP4K3 Protein, Human (S170A, sf9, GST, Flag) is the recombinant human-derived MAP4K3, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with GST, Flag labeled tag.

Background

MAP4K3 is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a role in the response to environmental stress. It appears to act upstream of the JUN N-terminal pathway (by similar: PubMed:9275185). As an activator of the Hippo signaling pathway, which plays a pivotal role in organ size control and tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis, MAP4K3 acts in parallel to and is partially redundant with STK3/MST2 and STK4/MST2 in the phosphorylation and activation of LATS1/2, establishing MAP4Ks as components of the expanded Hippo pathway (by similar: PubMed:26437443).
