Description

Pentraxin 2/SAP protein, a member of the pentraxin family, promotes innate immunity by recognizing pathogens and promoting their clearance. This soluble pattern recognition receptor is involved in multiple inflammatory processes, including complement activation, opsonization, and immune response regulation. Pentraxin 2/SAP Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Pentraxin 2/SAP protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Background

CLIC2/XAP121 protein exhibits the capability to insert into membranes, forming chloride ion channels whose activity is pH-dependent. The process of membrane insertion appears to be regulated by redox conditions, occurring predominantly under oxidizing conditions. Notably, CLIC2/XAP121 plays a regulatory role in modulating RYR2 activity, ultimately inhibiting calcium influx. This protein functions as a monomer and engages in interactions with TRAPPC2 and RYR2, suggesting a potential role in intricate cellular processes.

Product Properties

Appearance

Lyophilized powder.

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.

Endotoxin Level

<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
