PPM1F is a protein phosphatase that deactivates CaM-kinase II by dephosphorylation, which is activated upon autophosphorylation. It also deactivates CaM-kinases IV and I, which are activated upon phosphorylation by CaM-kinase kinase. Additionally, PPM1F promotes apoptosis.
