Description

SCH 30497 is a potent and orally active analgesic agent. SCH 30497 exhibits analgesic activity in the rat yeast-induced paw pain model, the mouse acetic acid-induced writhing test, and the squirrel monkey electric shock titration test. SCH 30497 can be used in pain research[1].

In Vivo

SCH 30497 demonstrats dose-dependent analgesic effects in a rat model of yeast-induced paw pain; at peak efficacy, the ED50 values (in mg/kg) for oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous administration were 4.7, 5.7, 6.4, and 1.4, respectively[1].
SCH 30497 also exhibits analgesic activity in the mouse acetic acid-induced writhing test (ED50 = 1.9 mg/kg, oral administration) and the squirrel monkey shock titration test (ED50 = 14.5 mg/kg, oral administration)[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
