DOPG is a phosphatidylglycerol composed of unsaturated fatty acids (oleoyl groups), providing negative charges and membrane fluidity. DOPC acts as a neutral matrix lipid, mainly used to maintain the integrity and appropriate fluidity of the lipid bilayer, and does not change the net charge itself.
