4-Carboxypyrazole is a pyrazole metabolite and a human liver alcohol dehydrogenase ligand. It is a metabolite of 4-methylpyrazole in mice and rats and does not inhibit the enzyme when methanol is used as a substrate. 4-Carboxypyrazole can be used in studies related to alcohol dehydrogenase metabolism .

XN methyl pyrazole (XP) is an orally active, blood-brain barrier permeable uncoupler/proton carrier. XN methyl pyrazole uncouples oxidative phosphorylation, depolarizes mitochondrial transmembrane potential, increases energy expenditure, spontaneous activity levels, and cortical inosine monophosphate levels. XN methyl pyrazole reduces plasma purine and energy metabolite levels, improves glucose tolerance, and decreases weight gain, while avoiding potential estrogenic side effects. XN methyl pyrazole can be used in studies related to diet-induced obesity and insulin resistance .

Difenamizole (Pasalin) is an orally active pyrazole non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent and pain inhibitor, which capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier. Difenamizole inhibits the release of catecholamines by monoaminergic neurons, reduces the concentrations of dopamine metabolites and normetanephrine (NE) in the striatum, and thereby regulates the levels of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain. Difenamizole is not only antagonized by dopamine in the brain, but also exerts synergistic effects with Oxidopamine (6-OHDA) (HY-B1081/A), Phenoxybenzamine (HY-B0431), Reserpine (HY-N0480), and other agents. Difenamizole inhibits conditioned, emotional and aggressive behaviors in rodents, and can be used in studies of pain and related neurobehaviors .
