SfUAP-IN-1

SfUAP-IN-1 is an inhibitor of SfUAP (UDP-N-acetylglucosamine pyrophosphorylase from Spodoptera frugiperda) with an IC₅₀ value of 108 nM. As a growth and development inhibitor, SfUAP-IN-1 impairs larval growth and development of Plutella xylostella (diamondback moth), Spodoptera frugiperda (fall armyworm) and Spodoptera litura (tobacco cutworm). SfUAP-IN-1 can be used in research on green pesticides targeting insect UAP.

SfUAP-IN-1 (A15) (0.10-10.0 μM; 10-60 min) potently inhibits purified Sf UAP with an IC₅₀ of 108 nM after 15 min, and exhibits time-dependent covalent inhibition with an IC₅₀ reduced to 13.0 nM after 60 min incubation^[1].

In Vivo

SfUAP-IN-1 (500 μg/mL; oral administration; ad libitum feeding; 7 days) results in a mortality rate of 63.3% in third-instar Plutella xylostella larvae at 72 hours post-treatment; after 7 days of feeding, the larval body weight decreases to 51.9% of that in the control group^[1].
SfUAP-IN-1 (500 μg/mL; oral administration; ad libitum feeding; 7 days) reduces the body weight of 3rd-instar Spodoptera frugiperda larvae fed on treated leaf discs ad libitum for 7 days to 61.0% of that of the control group^[1].
SfUAP-IN-1 (500 μg/mL; oral administration; ad libitum feeding; 7 days) reduces the body weight of 3rd-instar Spodoptera litura larvae to 56.9% of that of the control group after 7 days of ad libitum feeding on treated leaf discs^[1].
