Biological Activity

Sodium Citrate Buffer, 0.5M, pH 6.5 is applied in heat-induced epitope retrieval (HIER) to reverse antigenicity loss in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues by breaking protein cross-links, thereby unmasking antigens and epitopes and ultimately enhancing antibody staining intensity.
Sodium Citrate Buffer, 0.5M, pH 6.5 can be used for immunochemistry applications, stabilizing proteins, nucleic acid hybridization, and blot transfer.
