Subproside V is an oleanene glycoside found in the dried roots of Sophora subprostrata (Leguminosae). Glycosides are compounds formed by linking a sugar or sugar derivative to another non-sugar substance through the terminal carbon atom of the sugar; they are also known as sugar ligands.
