Biological Activity
(3E,7E)-Homofarnesol (Compound 4) (10 mM; 20 h) was converted to ambroxan by E. coli cells expressing ZmoSHC1 with 22.9% product formation, showing a 76.3-fold higher conversion rate compared to squalene[1].
