4,6-Dichloropyrimidin-5-amine (2 equiv.; 6 days heated at 105°C, 5 days stirred at room temperature, 4 h stirred at room temperature) serves as a key precursor in the synthesis of 6-chloropurine derivatives 1b-15b via a two-step condensation and cyclization reaction sequence[3].
