5-Nitrosalicylaldehyde
Based on 1 Customer Validation
5-Nitrosalicylaldehyde is a chemical intermediate that can be used in pharmaceutical synthesis and the synthesis of photochromic compounds. 5-Nitrosalicylaldehyde serves as an important raw material for the synthesis of Dronedarone hydrochloride (HY-75839), and can also be used to prepare spirobenzopyran-based fluorescence switch materials. 5-Nitrosalicylaldehyde is applicable to pharmaceutical synthesis, photochromic material synthesis, and separation and purification research.

Activité biologique
The equilibrium mole fraction solubility of 5-Nitrosalicylaldehyde (273.15-313.15 K; 101.2 kPa) increases with rising temperature and proportion of organic cosolvent in methanol/water, ethanol/water, isopropanol/water, and acetonitrile/water mixed solvents; at the same cosolvent mass fraction and temperature, the solubility in the acetonitrile/water system is higher than that in the other three mixed solvent systems[2].
The mole fraction solubility of 5-Nitrosalicylaldehyde (273.15-313.15 K; 101.2 kPa) in 12 pure solvents increases with rising temperature; at the same temperature, the solubility follows the order: acetone > 1,4-dioxane > ethyl acetate > cyclohexanone > toluene > acetonitrile > methanol > ethanol > isopropanol > n-propanol > 1-butanol > water[3].
