α-Glucosidase-IN-123
α-Glucosidase-IN-123, a hybrid derivative of baicalein and cinnamic acid, acts as an inhibitor of α-glucosidase. α-Glucosidase-IN-123 enhances glucose uptake in insulin-resistant hepatocytes without significant cytotoxicity. α-Glucosidase-IN-123 exhibits lipase inhibitory activity and DPPH free radical scavenging activity, and it can be used in the research of type 2 diabetes.

α-Glucosidase-IN-123 (compound 7i) at 50 μM exhibits an inhibition rate of 21.55% against α-glucosidase, with weaker activity than its parent compound Baicalein (HY-N0196). It inhibits lipase with an inhibition rate of 22.60%, showing stronger activity than Baicalein, and causes no significant cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells[1].
α-Glucosidase-IN-123 (500 μM) exhibits an IC50 of 207.7 μM for DPPH radical scavenging, with antioxidant activity weaker than that of Baicalein[1].
α-Glucosidase-IN-123 (0.1-10 μM) increases the glucose consumption rate in insulin-resistant HepG2 cells[1].
