Background

  • Function

RHOJ is a Plasma membrane-associated small GTPase specifically involved in angiogenesis. Required for endothelial cell migration during vascular development via its interaction with GLUL. Elicits the formation of F-actin-rich structures, thereby regulating endothelial cell migration[1][2][3].

  • Subcellular Localization

    Cell membrane

  • Expression

Tissue_Specificity: Specifically expressed in endothelial cells in different tissues, such as brain, heart, lung and liver
Induction: Expression is regulated by the transcription factor ERG

  • Isoforms & Post-Translational Modification

    Q9H4E5 has two isomers: Q9H4E5-1: 23821 Da (predicted); Q9H4E5-2: 21255 Da (predicted).
Palmitoylated; regulates localization to the plasma membrane and may be mediated by GLUL

  • Subunit

Interacts with the CRIB domains of proteins such as Pak1 and Was/Wasp (By similarity)

  • SwissProt ID

    Q9H4E5
