AQ 1994 hydrochloride is a benzothiophenyl aminoethyl ketone derivative and also a broad-spectrum human platelet aggregation inhibitor. AQ 1994 hydrochloride inhibits human platelet aggregation triggered by 5'-adenosine diphosphate, arachidonic acid, platelet-activating factor, thrombin or collagen. AQ 1994 hydrochloride can be used for thrombosis-related research.

In Vitro
AQ 1994 hydrochloride non-selectively inhibits washed human platelet aggregation induced by ADP, AA or paf-acether, with IC50 values ranging from 27.0 μM to 40.7 μM[1].
AQ 1994 hydrochloride inhibits human platelet-rich plasma (PRP) aggregation induced by ADP, AA, platelet-activating factor (paf-acether) or collagen, with IC50 values ranging from 159 μM to 603 μM[1].
