ATTO 488 maleimide
Based on 1 Customer Validation
ATTO 488 maleimide is a thiol-reactive fluorescent labeling reagent that forms a covalent bond via its maleimide group with the thiol group of the C-terminal cysteine residue of α-synGC. ATTO 488 maleimide enables α-syn fiber imaging via super-resolution stimulated emission depletion (STED) fluorescence microscopy. ATTO 488 maleimide is applicable to research related to Parkinson's disease (Ex/Em = 488/592nm).

Biological Activity
ATTO 488-maleimide performs site-specific labeling of C-terminal cysteine-modified α-synuclein, with a labeling efficiency of over 90%. The morphology of the resulting fibrils is comparable to that of unlabeled fibrils, and the AFM-STED colocalization ratio reaches as high as 0.84, indicating that nearly all fibrillar aggregates are fluorescent[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
