IdeS protease
Based on 1 publication(s) in Google Scholar
IdeS protease is an IgG-specific endopeptidase. IdeS protease cleaves the lower hinge region of the IgG heavy chain, generating F (ab')2 and half-Fc fragments. IdeS protease inhibits the production of ROS. IdeS protease can be used for research on Streptococcal infection.

Description
In Vitro
IdeS protease is insensitive to E64 and does not cleave short P4-P1 peptide substrates, but its activity can be inhibited by aldehyde TPCK/TLCK analogs and piperidine-containing IgG hinge peptide analogs[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
