Biological Activity: Nithiazide is an anti-histomonad agent with activity against Histomonas. Nithiazide does not cause macroscopic or histopathological abnormalities in the visceral organs of turkeys and chickens at specified doses and durations. Nithiazide induces tumor formation in multiple organs of rodents. Nithiazide can be used in research related to enterohepatitis and tumors, such as breast tumors, skin fibroadenomas, cystadenomas, liver tumors, etc[1][2].
