Biological Activity: Shearinine A ((+)-Shearinine A) is an orally active insecticidal indole alkaloid present in the sclerotioid ascostromata of the endophytic fungi Aspergillus fumigatus GCV-12 and Eupenicillium shearii. Shearinine A inhibits methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Shearinine A exhibits biological activity against corn earworms and dried fruit beetles. Shearinine A can be used in studies related to bacterial infections[1][2].
